The MeerWissen Initiative seeks proposals to support partnership projects between African and German research organisations, that contribute to strengthening the knowledge base for marine and coastal Nature-based Solutions in Africa and to improving the use and uptake in national strategies and action plans.
The partnership projects will be funded with up to EUR 360.000.
This call has been developed as a contribution to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021 – 2030 (‘the Ocean Decade’). Successful projects will be endorsed as Decade Actions and formally recognised as part of the Ocean Decade.
How to apply
A joint project application consisting of a concept and rough budget outline for a joint two-year scientific cooperation project and a detailed proposal and budget for a 6-9 month Co-design phase (Please find more information on the guidance on Co-design here.)is to be submitted by 31 December 2021 to meerwissen
