Organisations willing to become member must fill in the attached Application Form (for the information of the General Assembly) and Accession Document (to prepare membership formalisation). These documents must be returned to the Secretariat.

The EuroMarine General Assembly (GA) examines and approves membership applications based on the information provided in the form and in the accession document. This usually takes place early on in the year (Jan. or Feb.) during EuroMarine yearly GA meetings, but can also take place through an electronic consultation of the GA at any point in time.

Upon GA approval of membership applications, the Accession document must be signed by an authorised representative of the incoming organisation, and co-signed by IRD (as EuroMarine Coordinator).

Please contact the Secretariat for details and to obtain the EuroMarine Consortium Agreement (CA), which legal departments at candidate member organisations will request, notably to check liability issues and financial commitments terms. By design the EuroMarine CA limits liability to a minimum, and offers flexibility: financial commitments are yearly by default, which lets member organisation opt for withdrawal at any point.

For details on membership and the minimum membership fee, please refer to the membership guideline document.
