OYSTER (Orienting young scientists of EuroMarine) is looking for enthusiastic, engaged and creative early career scientists who are willing to play an important role in advocating EuroMarine and promoting the role and relevance of marine science and the ocean in general. OYSTER in particular seeks individuals with interests/knowledge in science communication, social media, and web sites development to join the working group.

EuroMarine opens on 6 Jan. 2021 its annual call for candidates to join its Steering Committee (SC) - to be partially renewed every year from 2016 on, as decided by the General Assembly (GA) during its 2015 meeting.
Three positions are open to candidates for 2021. (As decided by the GA in 2019, there are alternatively 2 and 3 open positions each year.)

The EuroMarine early career researcher group OYSTER (Orienting Young Scientists of EuroMarine) is currently conducting a survey to gain insight into some personal and professional impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on marine Early Career Researchers (ECRs).
