AZTI is a technology expert centre framed within Corporación TECNALIA. It performs strategic and applied research, providing comprehensive and innovative solutions to customers and generating new knowledge. AZTI's vision is to be a scientific and technological organisation to create innovative knowledge, technologies, products and services that generate value for the marine environment and food sectors. AZTI provides scientific knowledge on the functioning of coastal systems in order to attain a sustainable management of their goods and services. There are four areas of specialisation in AZTI marine research: marine ecosystem functioning, sustainable fisheries management, marine and coastal environmental management, and the efficient use of resources through aquaculture and marine technologies.
