Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research associate to develop and support Shetland UHI research on marine management as part of the ‘Integrating Diverse Values into Management’ project . Closes: 8th December 2021.

This is a multi-partner project led by the University of Portsmouth and funded through the Sustainable Management of Marine Resource (SMMR) programme.

Main duties will be to facilitate the delivery of the four key aims of the project (see project web page – link above – for details) within the Shetland case study area. This will include using transdisciplinary research methods to develop and test approaches to gathering and embedding diverse values into marine management.

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant area of research, such as marine management or marine social science.

Salary: £27,277 – £32,168

Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Fixed-Term – 21 months (with possible extension to 24 months)
