Ocean Discovery League (ODL) is looking for one remote research assistant for short-term contracts to join our growing team. Deadline: Open until filled The Statistical Research Assistant will play a key role in research and data analysis for the Global Deep Sea Capacity Assessment (GDSCA), which is a baseline assessment of technical and human capacity for deep sea exploration in every coastal country with deep ocean (>200 m).
The Statistical Analysis Research Assistant will work closely with the ODL Capacity Assessment team to analyze the results of a global online survey and research. The ideal candidate will organize and quality-control the survey results into a fully functional database. They will statistically analyze the data to answer specific research questions as well as derive emergent trends and patterns present in the data beyond the original research questions. Finally, they will effectively communicate the results via creative visual and text-based materials.
