Twenty early career marine scientists have been selected to receive funding from EuroMarine to attend a wide array of training events between June and September as part of the marine science network's Young Scientist Individual Fellowship Programme, now in its third year. This year's initiative, launched in March 2019, received a significant number of applications from students of EuroMarine member organisations. EuroMarine always aims to support as many applicants as possible, and this year EuroMarine will be providing much-needed funding to thirteen PhD students and seven post-docs.

The funding has been awarded to students from a diverse range of backgrounds and nationalities, highlighting the breadth and ambitious scope of the EuroMarine network. 15 EuroMarine member organisations from 6 countries are represented by the successful applicants.
